DP Real Estate - February 2024 Recap
As we move forward into 2024 sales are beginning to pick up as expected here in Dana Point. It was a diverse mix of homes sold in February - 17 detached homes and 12 attached condos/townhomes. Interest rates have remained steady after some recent increases. As of today, interest rates are averaging out at 7.03% for conventional loans and FHA loans are currently averaging out at 6.56%. The speculation and hope of many is that interest rates will drop at some point in 2024, we will have to continue looking at the economic indicators such as the inflation and jobs reports to see if that will happen.
